Founder’s Story
Living in a refugee camp for more than 10 years, Don Divin Niyukuri
witnessed firsthand the challenges that refugee students face in accessing higher education opportunities. Motivated by these experiences, he founded the Raise Them Foundation in April 2024 to bridge the gap between refugee youth and the resources they need to succeed. Don is also the founder and CEO of EcoPig Farming Ltd, a sustainable agriculture enterprise. His accolades include being a Rise Global Winner and receiving the Mastercard Foundation’s FAST Fund award. Academically, Don is a candidate for Psychology and Brain Science at George Washington University.
